Units Take Part In Rapid Intervention Drill

On Saturday, November 30, 2002 units from DC Fire/EMS were invited to participate in a Rapid Intervention Drill in Fairfax County, Virginia. The drill was held in the an abandon shopping mall in the 6000 block of Little River Turnpike.

This multi-jurisdictional drill was hosted by Fairfax County Fire/EMS Department. Units from Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria and Washington DC were involved in numerous rapid intervention scenarios.

 

 

DFC John Thumann, Battalion Chief Wayne Branch and Truck Company 15 from DCFD participated in the six-hour drill, which was very successful.

Members of the District of Columbia Fire Department wish to express our thanks for allowing us to participate in this worthwhile drill.
