Units Rescue Man After High Fall

A rescue assignment from D.C. Fire came to the aid of a man who fell from a retaining wall onto the bank of Rock Creek on Saturday evening, July 14th.
 
The incident took place at 23rd Street and P Street N.W. The original report indicated the individual had fallen from from the P Street bridge into the creek, and a inland water rescue assignment was dispatched.  The victim was found at the edge of the creek, suffering from possible serious injuries.

He was removed up the hilly terrain using a rope and stokes operation and brute manpower, and transported to an area hospital.
