A crumpled SUV
with one pinned inside provided a tough challenge to
D.C. firefighters on Thursday evening, June 7th.
Rescue Squad 1 was called to the scene on the
Southwest Freeway around 10:30 P.M. after first
arriving units found the vehicle in a wreck with a
tractor-trailer.
The squad crew was forced to use a variety of
extrication tools in order to cut the twisted metal
away from the trapped driver.
The victim was finally freed and transported to a
local trauma center. |
