Units were dispatched at 3:36 PM for the report of a building fire at 6226 Georgia Avenue, NW. 

Engine 22, which was not originally dispatched on the box alarm, notified Battalion 4 that they were a block away from the incident.  They took first due position and found smoke showing from the commercial building.  A working fire dispatch was sounded as crews began knocking down the fire. 

As firefighters were opening up the affected area, they noticed charred beams and wiring.  The fire was extinguished quickly with no injuries.
