firefighters waged a brief but fierce battle against
flames in a Trinidad row house on Thursday evening, May
31st.
Box alarm units arrived at 1212 Owen Place N.E. around
6:30 P.M. to find heavy fire in the basement of the two-story, attached dwelling. Despite adverse conditions, an
aggressive interior attack was able to contain the fire,
but not before there was some extension to the first
floor.
Although there were calls reporting people being seen
inside the burning structure, all searches proved
negative. |
