Three Elderly Extricated After N.E. Traffic Accident

Three elderly occupants had to be extricated from their minivan after a "DC Duck" amphibious tourist vehicle slammed into them on Tuesday afternoon, April 24th.

Units dispatched on a rescue assignment to Montana and New York Avenues N.E found the vehicle on its side after being T-boned. Squad 1 immediately stabilized the vehicle using air jacks and began efforts to remove the three victims.

All three suffered injuries and were transported to area hospitals. The driver of the "D.C. Duck" was its only occupant and was unhurt.
