D.C. firefighters struggled
for about 30 minutes to free
a woman trapped in her
overturned vehicle on 16th
St. N.W.
The wreck occurred during
rush hour On Monday, April
23rd, at 16th and Swann
Streets N.W. The minivan
involved ended up on its
side against two parked
cars, complicating the
rescue efforts.
Rescue Squad 1 stabilized
the vehicle and than began
roof and seat removal
procedures to gain safe
access to the driver, the
only occupant. She was
transported to a local hospital with non
life threatening injuries. |
