Two-Alarm Apartment Fire In Trinidad

April 10, 2007...Vito Maggiolo

Units responded with Battalion 2 at 9:25 AM for the apartment fire – 1227 Raum Street, Northeast.  First arriving units found heavy smoke showing from the two-story middle of the row structure, which had been renovated into four apartments.

Because of the threat of the fire spreading to adjoining structures, Battalion 2 called for the second alarm.  As supplemental units arrived on the scene – an aggressive interior attack was already under way.  The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes.  Although residents were at home at the time of the fire, there were no injuries reported.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
