Fire Claims Life Of Northwest Woman

A woman is dead following a dwelling fire in the 900 block of Delafield Place N.W. during the pre-dawn hours of Wednesday, January 17th.

The blaze broke out around 5:15 A.M. on the top floor of the two-story home. Firefighters were able to confine the fire to one room, where the victim was found. She was removed from the house and declared DOA by paramedics on the scene.

There were no other injuries reported in the incident, for which a Working Fire Dispatch was sounded.
