High Angle Rescue - 511 D St., SE

Units were dispatched at 10:45 AM for the report of a man who had collapsed on top of a house in the 500 block of D St., SE. 

Firefighters found a 32-year-old man who had had a seizure on top of the two-story rowhouse that he was performing roof work on.  Medics assessed him at the site and determined that he was in need of further medical treatment.  Engine 18, Truck 7 and Squad 3 combined to effect a high angle operation. 

Firefighters secured the more than 250 lb. man into a Stokes basked - and carried him down Truck 7 to medics waiting below.  The man was then transported to a local hospital for treatment.
