One Civilian Injured In Two-Alarm Fire

Units responded about 9:00 AM Saturday for the report of smoke in the area in the  400 block of N St., NW.  Engine 6 arrived to heavy smoke showing from the rowhouse at 416 N St., N.W.

As firefighters engaged an aggressive attack, Command sounded a second alarm.  One civilian suffered burns and complained of chest pain.  The 42-year-old woman was treated by medics on the scene and transported to a local hospital for further treatment. 

Firefighters' fast work resulted in the fire

 

being knocked down within 30 minutes with only minor extension.  The cause of the fire is under investigation, and a damage estimate was not available.
