A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011, 6-8 PM at Cremation and Burial Society 7565 Red Bug Lake Road, Oviedo, Florida. Interment will be private.

We Regret To Inform You Of The Death of Dr. Victor Esch

Victor H. Esch, MD passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 18th at Sibley Hospital from respiratory failure. Dr. Esch served with the District of Columbia Board of Police and Fire Surgeons for over twenty-five years, as the Chief of the Board for the last ten. He also was Department Surgeon for the Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department in Montgomery County for over thirty years, serving as Deputy Fire Chief with the Department for a part of that time. In 2006, he was conferred with the title of Fire Department Surgeon Emeritus with the Cabin John Park VFD. He served as well in the position of Surgeon with the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department. Dr. Esch was also an active member of the Friendship Fire Association in D.C. for a number of years. Following his retirement from the D.C. Board of Police and Fire Surgeons, he worked for the U.S. Department of State for a period of years. Dr. Esch also served on the Metropolitan Medical Strike Team and served as a Coroner for Montgomery County for many years!

Dr. Esch will be honored with a vigil at 1000 hours on Friday, September 24th, followed at 1100 hours by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, located at 9200 Kentsdale Drive, Potomac, Maryland 20854. Following the Mass will be a private interment.

Survivors include a son, James Francis Gibson; daughter, Susan Lynne Gibson (Mark) Jones; two sisters, Barbara G. (George) McWilliams and Dorothy G. Bell; a brother, Francis Jenkins (Beverly) Gibson and two sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Gasch and Barbara

Hamilton. Also survived by three grandchildren, Devin Gibson, Nathaniel Jones
and Katherine Jones and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held Tuesday, June 8  2010 from 6 to 9 pm at the Fairfield Fire Department.in Fairfield PA.
Services will be held at the fire department at 2pm Wednesday.  Burial to follow with a reception at the
fire department.

Fairfield is located north of Emmitsburg.  MD Route 140 turns into PA  Route 16.  There is a large Ski Liberty Sign. Turn right on Route 116.  Firehouse is on right hand side halfway into town on E.H. Kane Lane.
